In 2016 the film makers spent a week in Max Gimblett's Soho studio, interviewing Max and his assistants, who generously revealed the techniques and philosphy behind his works of art.  Max has been working in America since 1962.  He was born in Auckland and is one of New Zealand's most internationally prominent and estemeed artists.
